One of my first serious games since getting back into go, anything would help. Especially the stuff that normally seems obvious but I was messing up on anyways.

Game summary:

Hi AichiKingema,
My name is Leo and I play as 2k on KGS. I will have a look at your game and leave some comments to provide you with some ideas how to improve your game.

Summary:
In the opening you played many moves on the 4th line and only built very limited territory in corners and sides. At the same time Black got good solid territory in three corners. After move 41 I definitely prefer Black's position.
But Black played some slack moves (e.g. move 47 & move 53) and missed easy chances to significantly reduce White's center potential. I really like White's move 60. You realized that you can not continue to just answer but have to fight to win the game. Therefore you decided to cut and managed to build big territory in the center.
At move 93 Black starts the end game. The game was quite close at that point. White got the bigger end game points (move 122 & move 130) and finally won the game with 6.5 points.

Based on this game I would recommend you to check if
- you might want to focus a bit more on territory during the opening (not only to play on the 4th line but consider playing more 3rd line moves),
- you could play more active moves in the middle game instead of reacting to your opponents move by defending your territory.

I hope you will enjoy the review. Good luck for your next games!

Thanks for the solid and incredibly informative review! It was a game from a good while ago, yet I still learned so much from this! I look forward to playing more, with all of this in mind.
